Reading is Fundamental (RIF)

Granada Elementary School, in partnership with the Alhambra Educational Foundation (AEF), proudly brings Reading is Fundamental (RIF) to students in grades TK–3. Our Granada Leadership Team plans engaging activities connected to our schoolwide themes that students participate in during each RIF event. These meaningful experiences are followed by a read-aloud story that reinforces an important lesson, and each student then selects a book of their very own to take home. Granada hosts three RIF events each year, providing students with the opportunity to build their home libraries and foster a lifelong love of reading.
