Reading is Fundamental (RIF)

Granada Elementary School, in partnership with Alhambra Educational Foundation (AEF), brings Reading is Fundamental (RIF) to students in grades TK-2. At each RIF event, students enjoy a read aloud story that teaches them a lesson before choosing a book to take home. Granada hosts three RIF events a year to give students opportunities to own their own books and develop a love of reading.

2017.11.17 Granada's 1st Trimester Reading is Fundamental Event

Granada students in grades TK-2 participated in the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) event sponsored by Alhambra Educational Foundation (AEF). Students enjoyed a read aloud story titled "I'll Wait, Mr. Panda" by Steve Antony and learned about the importance of waiting patiently. Afterwards, students had the opportunity to choose their own books to take home to read. Thank you to our kindergarten parents who were able to attend the event and read with their child after the book distribution.
