Principal's Message

Dear Granada Community,

I want to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we begin the 2024-2025 school year! As indicated in our school mission, "at Granada, we are committed to providing a comprehensive education that recognizes and nurtures the unique potential of each child. Grounded in principles of equity and inclusivity, we are dedicated to fostering a vibrant learning community that embraces and celebrates the diverse cultural backgrounds of our student population. We strive to develop resilient, empathetic, socially aware, and responsible citizens, equipping them with the essential skills and knowledge to navigate and thrive in an evolving world. Together, we lay the groundwork for every child to succeed and make meaningful contributions to our society."

Our Granada School community R.O.A.R's with pride. We accomplish this by teaching our Granada Lions to ROAR:

  • Respectful
  • Open-Minded
  • Attentive
  • Responsible

I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate. I look forward to spending a lot of time with your children, and getting to know their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I believe in the importance of celebrating their successes, small and large. My goal is to encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community so that they are healthy, happy, safe, and ready to learn. I look forward to the work we will do together. I am a true believer in the old proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” it is through our partnership and collaboration that we will continue to move our children forward to heights never seen before. I am excited to see your children through your eyes. I cannot wait to share with you the great things they accomplish.

In Partnership,
Rosa Soria, Ed.D
Principal, Granada Elementary School
