Title I Program

Granada is a Title I school. Title I is a federal education program that supports low income students throughout the nation. Funds are awarded based on student family income. It was previously calculated using the free or reduced lunch program. Now it is calculated based off of the Alternate Income Form.

Title I funds can be used to high additional teachers, support staff, provide technology, programs, and additional materials for students that is supplementing what the district provides.

Granada's School Site Council regularly meets to set goals for school improvement and how Title I funds will be spent based on those goals.  The School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) discusses school goals and budget and is written every year based on feedback from SSC, ELAC, staff, students, and families.
